I retired from yrc (not offical, Im not 65) I have worked at almost all teamster ltl lines through my 23 years: Jones, Cf, ABF, churchill, nationsway, Roadway, (red arrow during strike) I have been a causal and then full time with roadway.
I remember back in the 90's at jones hearing that teamsters wanted out of trucking cause there wasnt money to be made. I look back now and it seems true, being only abf and yrc left.
OF all the ltl going bankrupt, why havent teamsters got more ltl to go union???... cause they want out ltl.
I quit yrc last year now and life is so much better and working is now great, A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders with the past losers I used to work with.
I really hope Yrc goes bankrupt, and they will. There will not make it to a next contract because abf is still around.
ABF and YRC are both on the same contract. For those that just dont get it, DO YOU think abf will go down to YRC wages, or YRC go to abf wages on the next contract.
BTW: I quit yrc on my own, far from being laid off
