Been having fun building and improving my new Website. Just added a link to the SFEG message board. Check it out and you will not only stroke my vanity but also see the possibilities on promoting our beloved stock.
The http://taxigringo.com is safe. The reason your computer says it is suspicious is that the site is not registered except with Yahoo.
About the babe of the day--I like the idea, but I've a daughter and decided to go with a song of the week.
But, as George Patton might say: tanks for tuning in.
Doing some waterin' in the garden and lo and behold, a one by two foot raised bed of Asparagus that I planted last Spring and have completely ignored has two huge ready to eat asparagus stalks. I understand that asparagus takes two seasons from the time of planting. Am so delighted I will make a two by eight foot bed for asparagus.
Am brewing some compost tea with fermentation yeast and molasses added. Can be seen on the garden page. http://taxigringo1.com/Gardening.html
Also, something new on the Home Brewing page. http://taxigringo1.com/BREWING.html
Yeah, I used lumber (and Cedar) but after a couple of seasons they rot or--in one instance--termites invaded!!!
I have four gardens..a 3x12 strawberry patch, a 4x12 aspargus patch, and two (20x60 and 10x12) all purpose sites. Plus I use Earthboxes for my eggplants and peppers. I make my own pickles, canned beets, beans, small potatoes. I get my onion sets from Dixon in Texas--still have about 8 lbs in storage after pulling them in Sept.
I'm self-insured. Speaking of claims--my accident with the Freightliner had a happy resolution yesterday. I'm sure the insurance people were very happy as well as they got off very lightly compared to the potential.
But really, thanks for checking out the site. It is growing and improving daily.
