I watched the Bloomberg interview with Al Mann about 50 times and he explains the reason for the delay being primarily due to an audit of the Gen2 inhaler site and he characterizes it as optimistic and then quickly says but you cant read anything into it though.
I was trying to read his face and body language and I think he appears a bit giddy about it. He quickly goes back to a poker face.
Still I think he is pleased. Lets' hope so.
Basher? I owned the stock for the prior 6 months before recently (Dec 31) converting to January 2012 15.00 and 20.00 Calls.
I was simply doing a quick google search on body language.
My stock position hasn't changed because of the pseudo-science of body language, but rather was doing a little digging into what that "shrug" MIGHT have meant.
about this time last year, was he not attributing the short, 2-3 week delay to an audit or inspection or something of some plant in France? i recall how reliable that forecast was.
all I can say is ouch! All true. I still think the FDA punted at the 1 yr mark and Mannkind made a mistake in disclosing that they would not go to market with the first gen inhaler. I have reduced my holdings a bit although I still have a ton but I didnt reduce because I question Al's integrity.
At 1:40 into the video he says that the FDA performed a "detailed audit of the primary site that was doing the bio-equivalency trial for our new inhaler." So it seems to me that would be a process and procedure thing and a verification of documentation, record keeping and accuracy of the data and nothing to do with the actual drug, the physical inhaler itself or anything else other than how the bio-equivalency trial was conducted and results documented and reported.
