Hey OPC, I am out of my long of 92000 shares and will get back in later. There will be a partner, or Al may sell the company, but not before this sells off. I was hoping for what al mann aluded too. Such as Doctors tell me the results are amazing, these are anecdotal and will have to be proved by data of course, blah blah, blah,. Success brings dilusions to billiionaires.
You are seriously not happy about the conference call? You are seriously asking why the stupid analysts can't "understand them"? They can't understand Mann, Haakan, and especially not the DOCTOR because they don't have PhDs; they don't work in R&D in biotech, and they definitely don't have a #$%$' clue because they are generally the dumbest people around. Get a clue, dude.
Us Analyst are like normal human beings, and the MNKD executives are genius, so it can be hard to understand their expression. But it's the bottom line results that make or break a company and we all know MNKD deliver bottom line results like Afrezza deliver insulin directly into the lungs and blood streams without the need for injections like a junkie!
Absolutely correct, old_brkr1: Analysts are just like talking heads in the world of journalism; but today, these increasingly younger guys/gals are even dumber. The guy that kept using the phrase, "could you give me some 'color' on (XYZ)....." Gee, did I get sick of that. They are analysts for a reason; they have to go to work in an office every day of their puny lives - just like brokers. YAWN!
This is a case of "Shoot the messenger"
The questions were complete non-relevant. The reason they did not have clear answers is because they were shocked at the stupidity of these questions.
And why didn't anyone ask for a timeline to FDA submission possible fast-tracking?
So have a #$%$' beer! What's weeks or months when we LONGS (for years) have gotten over the major hurdle, the trial results? SOD OFF, as the Brits say. I love that term, among other colorful language they have - ditto the Irish FECK' OFF!
Agreed. This is not a slam dunk like I thought at first. Lots of questions still.
For example, the weight loss issue. The original press attributed weight loss to Afrezza but on the CC we find out that it's because patients had lifestyle education. Misleading to say the least
please remember 2011 approval imminent troll in fda loaded up open letter to fda board by martin shrkeli (something) change in delivery device forces crl troll unloads shares and gets caught - rather famous bust by sec anyone??!! This will be approved!!!!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
insulin is a growth hormone. It makes cells pick up glucose, especially adipocytes. That is why type I diabetics before diagnosis lose so much weight before they are started on insulin. In theory any insulin product should make you gain weight. I don't have an answer to why afrezza makes people lose weight, but lifestyle education in a fat diabetic (after people have been preaching lifestyle modification for YEARS in these patients) is not the reason buddy.
Not true. If you are on a RAA and have to snack post meal to prevent a hypo, don't you think you would gain weight? The answer is YES. If your not snacking after RAA baseline drop do you think you may lose weight? The answer........ YES. Al says weight neutral so it is not a weight loss product. Weight loss or neutral is just a possible side benefit.
Have to agree.
"Why didn't lower FBGs lead to a lower A1C?"
er, uhm er ah... because the 7 daily measuring points, uhmmm, the nightime was lower and the morning was higher.
"Why did trial participants gain weight in 175?"
er, uhm er ah because of the education we gave them....
"They gained weight because of the education sessions?"
er uhm ahh no ah they lost weight due to the monitoring and meeting with clinicians...
