    Greenhill Negotiations ?

Greenhill has either been working on divesting Mannkind's diabetes franchise Inhaled Afrezza & GLP-1 for a lump sum cash payment for $ billions or they are helping Mannikind restructure the company to set up a new limited liability company that will manage global and regional partnerships to include global royalty/profit shareing payments. Eventually Mannkind could sell the LLC and its royalty stream for a much higher price after sales ramp up for Afrezza globally. The cash derived either from a lump sum buyout or royalties through partnerships for the diabetes franchise will then be reinvested in Mannkind Inc. to support the company's bigger future in its core business that will include Technosphere Technology, Novel Delivery Devices and Cancer programs. Once the FDA approves Afrezza, Mannkind's job is pretty much done with the exception of supporting manufacturing for Afrezza and they will then turn their attention to a drug pipeline/partnership program that is actually further along then what Mannkind has lead everyone to believe. Alfred Mann recognizes the future of Mannkind will be built around its novel inhaled technologies, novel delivery devices and cancer programs and that's why during the recent 4Q 2013 conference call he talked about the company's strong and patent and intellectual properties it owns.
