Will health insurance companies pay for Afrezza?

I know there are some very smart people on this board, so I thought that maybe some people will have an opinion as to whether the majority of health insurance companies will consider Afrezza to be standard treatment or will they consider it as experimental?

This may seem like a stupid question but, the reason for my question is this. Back in the late 1990's my father had to have a few heart stents put in. He had very expensive health insurance and the subject of whether heart stents were experimental or not, never came up. About a year later, I was talking to a lady that was telling me that she had to have bypass surgery. I asked her why she wasn't getting a heart stent and her reply was that her health insurance company(blue cross-blue shield) would not pay for a heart stent because it said that they were experimental.

Does anyone have an opinion on this and how long do you think it will take to get the insurance companies on board?

    Sentiment: Buy
