Up 2.56% (.78) this morning. Are institutions & mutual funds adding to their 75% ownership? Or, is it the retail market buying more? The institutions will make any decisions when it comes to mergers and acquisitions. IMHO it will be a foreign company taking this one over if it happens.
I too am concerned that the stock has failed to reach and surpass the $33/share range. Perhaps Ben Fed scaring the markets twice in a relatively short time, Buffett & Ackman selling, less than stellar 1st qtr earnings report followed by a good but not great 2nd qtr report, announcements of buyback and (miniscule) div increase failing to impress investors, Peltz talk providing some thrills but going nowhere, or combination of the previously mentioned. However, recent stock purchase by insider. Perhaps Mr. Market seriously underestimating MDLZ's worth---let's all hope so, for when Mr. Market realizes the real value, this stock shoots straight up! Go, MDLZ, Go!
Two directors purchased shares. When directors buy they see something that possibly the retail investor does not notice. Looks like the insiders, Institutions & Mutual funds which have 75% of the shares keep buying up
More. Looks like we may be seeing some smoke. DD.
