Somebody (in all probability KWK) has been liquidating BBEP over the course of the last couple of weeks on a daily basis. My quess it is KWK because the correctly surmise BBEP won't make a distribution this quarter either and KWK is trying to reduce their debt after making the big Barnett Shale acquisition in 2008 and because they have got a tiger by the tail in their massive gas discovery in the Horn River play of British Columbia.
I don't know about that. The volume hasn't been that much especially with the large position KWK holds. Further, the chart...at least for the week...is not that much different from others like EVEP or ENP.
KWK needs to access capital at least within the next 6 months if they think natural gas is not gonna recover and most likely will liquidate some holdings from BBEP. Also, they probably want to liquidate a lot before the earnings as it is a wildcard. KWK sees BBEP now at $12, they don't wanna risk seeing at sub-$10 after earnings.
