Every NG investor should be voting against Obama when elections roll around. He is detering NG usage and exploration. I have an interest in a NG partnership that hit one of the largest NG wells last yr in the USA and they have fought almost a year and are still fighting to get it on line because the Obama administration wont let a pipeline go in to service it, this isnt the pipeline going across the USa but just a small one hooking up to existing. We need an administration promoting us to get independent of foreign oil and converting all transportation to NG.

    • Obama has come out in support of NG for some time. He is for the NG bill.
The NG bill is corporate welfare and socialistic of course. I'm for it too.
Why is your NG pipeline meeting resistance when most others are approved?
Romney is sure to be a worse sell-out than Obama, and even more spineless.
The other GOP contenders are unelectable.
Obama will do what the public wants.
Get popular public opinion for NG and it'll go through despite big oil and coal.
You republicans opposed campaign finance reform, so now big oil and coal can buy votes.

      • Don't be silly! Half of the Democrats are standing there with their hands out too. Remember that the inside trading laws don't apply to them and yet you expect them to police themselves??? On what planet??? Obama is just a constant campaign and no action. Hell, the administration hasn't even passed a budget yet and it's the fourth year??

      • besides what does a californian know the worst run state in the union, about to go broke.

      • what are you smoking, Obama didnt agree to election reform after pledging to it once he raised more money. He has fought tooth and nail all sorts of energy iniatives, keystone pipeline, pipeline in Alaska and mine that is only 3 miles long. Atlas says there is no complaint they just wont give them the permit. I have read the NG bill and it has been in committee for 5 yrs now and not getting out, It is not corporate welfare the tax credits are for john q public to switch their cars over and to sit up distribution systems so you can fill your car after the switch. NG producers dont need any incentives. Obama also is blocking sales of LNG to other countries for export. The only campaign reform the democrats want is no contributions by corp but plenty by unions. Guess where they get their money.

    • Peter Schweizer of the Hoover Institute in August 2007 (in describing Gore's lifestyle as a contradiction):
"While Al Gore lectures Americans on excessive consumption, he lives in two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Tennessee, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Virginia. Although local utilities offer him the option to use renewable energy, Gore has not signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences. He also owns and profits from stock in Occidental Petroleum, and he receives $20,000 a year in royalties from a zinc concession on his property that has been cited for adding pollutants to the nearby Caney Fork River."

    • I agree, and this issue will lose Obama my vote come November. With Iran threatening to close the Straits of Hormuz and all the other BS in the middle east, it borders on stupidity and irresponsibility to do anything but develop energy independence now that we actually have the technology and resources to make it reality. Just imagine how it would change the world if we could tell OPEC to keep their filthy oil and let China and Europe worry about it while we burn cleaner, cheaper, job-producing north american natural gas.

At this point NG is so economic, we don't really even need the government to provide incentives. We just need it to get the heck out of the way and let the free market work. The stupidity is astonishing.

    • Don't know the specifics, but Obama has come out in favor of NG and the NG gas bill.
Any administration is saddled with entrenched civil service employees, often from prior administrations.
Further, the environmental movement wields a lot of votes and any president will feel that pressure.
If Romney wins, things won't be much different.
NG pipelines are getting built across the nation, with more on paper.
So far as i can see..the GOP candidates are in the pocket of big oil, and it'll go worse for NG if Obama looses.
