Once again, here comes the dilutive stock offerring that rips down everyone's stock value. They will be paying dividends from the money received in the stock further reducing value for another year. I can't believe I bought the piece of junk!
If you don't understand MLP's then why are you involved? BBEP is purchasing oil/gas assets in the USA increasing the future valuation of the partnership and distributions it can provide to it's shareholders. If you are unhappy then go buy a CD and revel in your 2% return.
I understand MLP's very well. I have owned a number of them over the years. Its very easy to fall in love with their dividends while the value of the shares drop. This MLP is selling much more stock than it will be able to support in the near term future of 1-2 years. 13 million shares is not of no consequence. Just a slight hiccup in earnings will cause the value of the units to drop even further thereby trapping investors into holding longer than they would like or selling at a loss. The yield from many MLP's is no longer high enough to support their market risk. This is one of those little jewels that has gone from $22 per share 2 years ago to under $20 pershare today for a drop of over $2.00 pershare resulting in only a 2-3% gain including dividends. That action and long term lockup does not support the market risk being taken to own the units.
