    Will NCL be next?

Thanks ipmaniac for the information! I didn't realize NCL had such deep pockets. I've got two cruises scheduled for 2002; one with RCL and one with Celebrity. I was scheduled to sail on the Mercury in May, but that ship has been pulled from the European market. Hopefully I can switch to the Constellation if the dates are right. Trying to be a good stock holder and a good customer! Kel

    • RCL has a conference call tomorrow. The stock is down over 40% and most of the messages on this board have to do with how to get a good deal on a cruise. No one is pitching the normal line of bs about the stock tanking more or how this is the "last best stock". People are talking about buying a cruise. This can't be a negative. Any thoughts?

Here's the big risk: The terrorist networks declared war on the West... once we retaliate, it's pretty much a consensus that the US will endure another attack... once this happens, leisure stocks will take another big hit (IMO.. but logical)... Defensive stocks will play much better in this environment.

      • until fundamentals recover the worst is yet ahead - Slower volume - Price cuts - fixed debt cost - All add up to dismal performance - The cruises are a good buy - the stock is a dog. I will buy back in at 8.
