Marines Refused Service at Shell in TX

    I was told this,
    Marines Refused Service

    Happened on Jan. 31, 2006
In Gun Barrel City, TX two US Marines in Dress Blues walked into a Shell Station and were told they would not serve them and told to leave. So they went to the Fina Station across the street and told them that they were refused service at the Shell. At this time a women went over to the Shell Station and ask why they refused service to the two Marines and were told that they are over there killing their people. The Shell is owned & operated by Arab people.

As this information went out the News Paper in Gun Barrel wanted to know the names of the Marines. They are going to run an article on this incident. As I see it this is a long way from being over knowing the mind and heart set of Texas and all people. All this happened on the 31st of Jan.

Therefore, myself US Marine Ret. all this hits very close to home.
The word is going out to all Military people and others also and the list is getting longer.
Cancel your Shell cards, sell your stock, and refuse service to use Shell services stations.

    • All of this seems very strange to me. I am Retired Navy and know many retired people. Although the ENC at the end of the name stands for Chief Engineman I have never seen anybodu use the designation d/v after the designation.I would imagine that this stands for "Disabled Veteran".It is also interesting that the "ENC" is in Capitals but the dv is in small letters.

I am originally from Texas and although I live in Florida now I return once a year to visit my Parents who live next to South Padre Island not far from Brownsville.

Although I have not visted all the Gas Stations in Texas I Exit La. into Texas and drive over a thousand miles South.I have never been in a Ggas Station that was run by anybody from the Middle East. They are either what they call Anglos or Mexican Americans.

It is different hers in Northen Florida and many Convience Stores and Gas Stations are run by people from INDIA. Patel Family is big in them here. There are some middle Eastern people but all keep a low Profile largely because of the Backlash from 911.

I do not know that it didn't happen, however, my experience says that it is questionable at best.
I can't imagine "Anybody" in Business wasnting to create a situation such as that.

Whatever the reason it seems to have reached the desired effect judging from some of the Posts but then there are people that put "cut off" fingers in Chili etc.

My experience has also told me that Corporations will go to nay lengths to get to the bottom of these incidents and I would hate to be on the wrong end of the investigation. All will be interviewed including the operator at Fina. I am sure that the Operator was not there alone and came across the street and didn't leave their Gas Station unattended..By Law and since some people are prone to stealing Gas I can guarantee you that there are all kinds of Cameras.

    • Another urban legend:

scroll down to see Shell response:
"Shell Oil spokesperson Karyn Leonardi-Cattolica, responded with the following statement:

We take this type of allegation very seriously and immediately launched an investigation in Gun Barrel, Texas. However, after interviewing the email author, the site operators and reviewing four days' worth of security video footage, we found no evidence to confirm the incident occurred at a Shell site.
Such behavior would not be tolerated and should an allegation of this nature be confirmed, Shell would take action up to and including the removal of the Shell brand from the site.

      'nuff said.
