A monkey can buyback shares, why does Shell pay millions to a CEO and that's the best he can come up with? All he's doing is maximizing his and other mgt bonuses. Wouldn't the money be better spent expanding reserves and growing production ? Or is that too much effort for the mgt team, they would have to actually earn their salaries and bonuses.
Did you notice that with all the buy backs the share count doesn't go down, Even though that bothers me, I'm still optimistic about a turnaround. I think Shell has the assets and potential for a solid restructuring. I like their position in the LNG market.
Japan sales not increasing and China not adding much to their purchases currently doesn't bode well short term. Nice rally in RDS last couple of days but I think its the pump to dump shares before a big droppo on some lousy numbers coming this summer from the big oils. We will see. LNG is not going away anytime soon no matter what the greenies tell you.
