Did anybody besides me notice that SCX has increased its dividend from $.06 to $.08 for the next payment?
glad someone's awake. nothing since jan.
Anyone here remember Starrett at $50 per share in the late eighties or $40 per share in the late nineties? What a sad decline.

Yes I remember SCX in the $40 range. In fact, I sold most of my stock in SCX at that time in the high $30s. I have been in and out a few time since and usually made money but it has been a tough slog for SCX.
I am wondering if Gabelli has something in mind with SCX. I see that his organization owns a meaningful investment in SCX and he is filing 13d's occasionally. Do you know anything about that?
Dividends have little to do with the stock price of Starrett. Family voting control of the stock and nepotistic management of the company do.
They should be investing that $$ into people and equipment that can get me my orders a little faster. Waiting way too long on many items. The stock didn't seem to react positively the last fews days. Down 10%
Well, I am guessing that the people selling stock either don't know about the increased dividend or simply don't care about it.
