Aweful Results - But I'm Vindicated!!!

Quite an aweful set of results from PRKR again. Nothing seems to suggest they made ANY real progress, and it is almost clear as water that they too a few steps backward instead!!!

PRKR's unbroken dismal result record continues...

That said I feel quite vindicated with my earlier unpopular stance - one which the rabid longs will have to swallow hard and acept as fact.

Namely, PRKR's stupid 802.11b boutique market approach wasted an absolute tonne of money ($3m Plus!!!). Clearly the performance of their D2D DID/DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE RIDUCULOUS PRICE PREMIUM "BOUTIQUE" POLICY THEY HAD BEEN TRYING TO FOOL THE MARKET INTO ADOPTING (as I doubted it would from the beginning!)...

If the rabid longs can't eat humble pie read what your own beloved PRKR "management" tell you today (hint they were forced to agree with me too) :-

"...The Company's product margin in 2004 reflects a write down of inventory to net realizable value in the amount of $2,768,854. This write down was triggered by a significant price decrease on the Company's 802.11b wireless networking product line in the fourth quarter of 2004, along with the high carrying costs of initial production inventory.

The Company reduced the suggested retail price of its wireless router product by 50% and it other wireless networking products by 20% in the fourth quarter of 2004 in order to bring its pricing more in line with competitors. As a result, the carrying value of the Company's inventory exceeded its net realizable value after deduction of estimated costs to complete and dispose of the inventory. ..."

===> Quite sad how pathetically bad this "management" really is at simple commercial delivery...Can't see that changing either from this report or announcements. They deserve to be slated.

    Regards
    BARON

It is like barter system...service exchange for service.

    • > nubuzz, hnuir, ewtrojan & trublprkr - I can fully understand why you would take cheap shots at the style of my post rather than its content.

(the spelling was not that terrible actually - but I will try and keep a more vigilant eye on your ramblings in the future).

Clear fact though, is that you PRKR "apologists" continually crowed about how PRKR could justify a massive price premium in a agressively commodotised market. This is clearly a huge "management" failure and your off the cuff neglect of my early critisms of PRKR's poor boutique marketting efforts has come back to hang you.

This BB should be about constructive commentary on what WILL and what WILL-NOT yield commercial success for PRKR --- Instead be have blind support for and blind support against...

Hence, neither position is analysing PRKR successes or PRKR failures properly (or in context)...I suggest the sensible middle ground be given much more credence in future given this clear fact...Thats all really...

      Regards

      • Actually baron, I was not trying to take a cheap shot. Usually your posts are well constructed with logical flow and are free from even minor typos. I was struck by this one, and I assumed (bad thing to do) that you were really irate to such an extent that your normal style was submerged. From my perspective, management's inability to deliver at the level which you wish to see really gets to you at a deep level. I know that when I have felt that way (and I have about some other companies) I have unloaded my position and moved on. I can understand your feelings but I can't understand why you remain a stockholder. It just doesn't make any sense.

        Regards

    • Sentiment:

      For Baron: SELL

For everyone else: STRONG BUY!!! There may be some bargains if the stock trades before the CC tomorrow.

    • Baron:
Tell your "spin" to the poeple at Wells Fargo who invested 21+ million in this Company recently..........while you're at it why don't you learn to spell.

    • baron,

I hope it is a problem with your keyboard, because if you are so upset that you can't even type, it really is time to sell whatever stock you still hold and move on.
