    Parker's Victory...

A reminder to all doubters, nay-sayers and shorts... How do you dispute the fact that QCOM openly admitted they are using Parker's technology in millions of devices? Justice is being served as it should be. We have an infrastructure of Law in this great country and when that law is broken the offender must suffer the consequences... in this case QCOM will pay handsomely for stealing and selling Parkers' patented technology.

    • Parker's victory is not in doubt... its the damages awarded. $500 mil or $1.5 bil, willful infringement or not. Again...the stock has run up from under 3 to the present price in less than 2 weeks. If damages are near the low end of the range, the stock will tank. If willful infringement is determined, you will probably get a short term pop to $11+, but QCOM may appeal. Which mean PRKR will not get any money until the appeal process is done...which could be at least a year out. Review the VRNG/GOOG case as an example of the slow court process after the guilty infringement verdict. If you are long... buy some puts for protection or at least take some profits off the table.

      • I realize that for most people PRKR is a trading bean so all these discussions are relevant. However, for idiots like me that have been berried in this ugly #$%$ for more years than I care to admit the fact is that QCOM's expert testified that the infringing device are integrated in platform wide, can't be engineered out except at a loss in size, and performance and PRKS's patents still have at least seven years left on them. QCOM has to settle, otherwise find a wind a way to license the technology or buy them out. So between now and the end of the year as those realities sink in the stock should get some appropriate value. As to what's "appropriate value" without all the hype and bluster at least $12.50 IMHO.

If what you are referring to is Serpico's testimony, the jury did not hear that as it related to the injunction hearing while they were off deliberating willfulness.
