    And now

I don't think that Qualcomm will appeal the verdict. News to follow should be good: negotiated royalties, overseas infringement.

Without an appeal, there is no more dilution needed. And the company looks like a going concern to potential D2P customers, and they are out there.

    • yea, but after I read your post four days ago I don't think it is a good idea to listen to your forecast.

"I doubt that it will take the jury much more than an hour to award ParkerVision $432 million. Yes to willful infringement and the award is trebled to $1.296 billion. Judge sets 30-day limit for an agreement on ongoing royalties and threatens an injunction."

"We are of course disappointed by the award of damages. We are grateful for the jury's hard work throughout this trial and for the verdict of no willfulness. We will direct our efforts toward addressing the post-trial process and preparing our appeal."
      - Christine Trimble, Qualcomm spokeswoman

      • As stated a few days ago: Qualcomm has pursued the case as much in preparation of post-award motions for reconsideration and for appeals. I thought Judge Dalton gave Parkervision far too much leeway in shaping the case and that now serves as grounds for appeals on procedural grounds. That being the case, Qualcomm's primary avenue of appeals is on legal grounds based on the patent claims and non-infringement. As such, I think there is better than 60% odds of reversal of the verdict of infringement.

However, that typically can take 2-3 years during which time Parkervision can go out for another secondary and round of snake oil pitch revival of the stock.

    • trub - i dont think there would be any overseas infringement at this point. Sounds like the CEO was happy they won the case though. Said it proved Prkrs patents.
