    Re: Zoltan

    Dear DCM;

    Your turn is next. You too will be replaced. So, watch the behaviors in the displaced American white male, as they will be your's soon.

    The US work force expanded like mad, due to women entering the work force. Television taught us that this was ok, because now she could have a tennis tournament named after the movement (Virginia Slims). So, the net net is that a bunch of white dudes are "retired" in their 40's and 50's now, and business-suit madams patrol the empty cheerless halls of commerce.

    So, what's next? The telephone is going to take away your job. Here is how to tell. Do an experiment. Make a tech-support call to Gateway Computer and listen to the intelligence and sincerity on the other end of the phone. Completely unlike the usual list readers and nuckleheads. It is awesome! Best solution support I have ever seen. For the past 10 to 15 years, technology support has been going down the drain, as the allocation for this crucial role has been dumb-sized down to mindless drones reading scripts. Well, not in the future and not at Gateway right now. And you know what? That new tech support person is in India. And there is a large, well educated, intelligent pool of them there. Bill Gates just donated $400 million to get these guys really rolling.

    So, what does this mean? Well, the revolution of women entering the workforce was all about economically expanding the labor force by going to the untapped supply working at home. Key steps included selling the public the line that being at home was stupid. (So, the kids were abandoned and schools went to hell.) These new lower cost, more aggressive women entered the work force, with the leading edge of them feeling the historical call. Dudes got dumped. Lawyers enjoyed the feeding frenzy. Bean counters were elevated to CFO's.

    Now, the business world is looking for more cheap labor. And they want smart labor. So, there sits India with over 1-billion English speaking people. And alot of them dudes are incredibly smart. Even with normal statistics, there has to be 50 to 100 million of those people that provide service support in the US at 1/10th the cost of North American labor. So, it's going to happen again. The effective labor supply can expand again by 50 to 100% at very low cost. So, say good by to your business suit.
