I was just looking at the large holdings of LNCO by vanguard, fidelity, fmr among others, I can't believe these funds would invest as much in this stock if they didn't feel pretty comfortable, plus I am sure they have done their share of research, so I feel quite comfortable with my investment.
Yahoo shows Fidelity Small Cap Discovery Fund owning $ 183 million of LNCO at July 31. I just checked - that fund did not own a single share of LNCO at that time. It owned Berry Petroleum, which LNCO later acquired in a stock-for-stock, so apparently whoever keeps Yahoo's stats is reporting the BRY shares as if they were LNCO shares.
I own LNCO, but never get too comfortable with Yahoo's stats.
There's something screwy in Yahoo's numbers, which isn't unusual. The top of the page shows that institutions own 51% of LNCO's shares, but when you look at the individual institutions listed, they own more than 100%. Must be some double counting in there somewhere.
