    • It was actually Congress who promised legislation within 100 days. There is NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that it will happen before 100 days. Congress already passed a bill twice and BUSH veteod it. That WILL NOT happen under Obama. My concern is that HESC funding is already priced into this stock, or at least it was at > .26. Yea, there might be a one or two day rally after the ban is lifted, but I stongly believe that most will sell the news, and drop it back to the teens or lower.

    • According to my calendar, it hasn't been 100 days yet.

      • No 100 days for sure - but I am still waiting for the talking heads on the news to call him out on the foot dragging. I am wondering if we will have a set date for a vote in the Leg or an E.O by day 100. I do not think Nancy Reagen expected it to move this slow - I remember reading somewhere that Obama spoke with her about over turning the ban on fed funding.

As of this moment we can safely say the tone in the campaign on stems cells is not matching the reality of his first days in office.

I got in at .03 and .06 and sold at .21. This waiting for news about the reversal is getting old. The drift back down will continue without some positive news because the reality is this is still years from giving someone a shot and having them take the stem cell cure. I like to have a positive thought, but how hard is it to keep a promise and sign a piece of paper?

      • I have to agree with you dowinv.

You stated: <I like to have a positive thought, but how hard is it to keep a promise and sign a piece of paper?>

F'ing right! How hard is it? Well, pretty hard when you are not trying to piiss off the religious right and would rather pawn the decision off on the Legislature to disperse jesus freak fervor.

This is turning into a let down.

No concrete comments from DeGette or the Obama Admin - and when I say concrete I mean facts, a date, the plan. I almost wonder if Degette and her co-sponser are not in sync with the Whitehouse on this issue explaining why it seems like this issue is still up in the air as to how it will happen.
