Opthomologist getting excited
At this time every Opthomologist must be excited about the advent of the upcoming ACTC human trials. Soon ACT will be the featured article in professional journals, topic of discussion in their continuing education classes, and top billing at professional conferences/seminars world-wide. The very idea of treatment that "cures" with regenerative medicine is historic in the making. Patients and physicians alike have good reason the celebrate.

I just had a visit with my opthomologist and he was not one bit excited about ACTC. His exact words were, "well we'll see. the proof is in the pudding."

I appreciate what your Opthomoligist said...it is a fair and objective statement. I think professional opinions (favorably) will change soon. I have talked to a number of professionals as well and do not find myself surprised at their knowledge or lack thereof of regenerative medicine. thanks

invest4, what you say should be true but I would bet there are still a lot of Ophthalmologists who don't really know much about this yet and many who want to stay with the techniques they know and don't especially want to know about any revolutionary method. On the other hand, they will all know about it very soon and that should start and keep things rolling for a long time.

there are no "techniques they know" that they can "stay with" to cure AMD.
