What ever happened to Bush's 5.6 TRILLION budget surplus projection????
"President Bush said Saturday that the most important number in the budget he sends to Congress next week is the $5.6 trillion surplus it projects over the next 10 years.
That huge projected surplus provides the underpinning of all the administration's tax-cut and spending plans, Mr. Bush said in his recorded weekly radio address.! from CBS News.
*****BONK******* WRONG ANSWER CONS. The "Looney Left" who screamed FOUL were right again huh? No surplus, no jobs, a collapsed economy, unpaid record long wars, but the rich got richer!!!! YOU GO CONS !!!! Nice job as usual. Keep up the good CON work.
#$%$ it was the congressional budget office that projected the surplus in January 2001. And we know what happened: 9-11, Iraq war and the financial meltdown. I know you blame Bush for all of it - fine. But it wasn't a mystery to anyone who was awake for those years.
Yes Elk, I was peee oh'd at the Dems for not standing up more, but like I said below the climate in the country was hostile to the middle east. After the Corporate GOP Spin Megaphone got handed to Rove who cleverly drummed up all the angst in the country, everyone was ripe for war. The used that damn 'warning system' of colors every time there was an election. It was actually an amazing psychological tour de force manipulation of the masses. Ultimately it failed of course, but by then they were out and could shout from the sidelines that it's someone else fault.
".......whole budget off the budget"? Well, it was part of Republican lies!!! The party knew a Democrat will be the President after Bush's second term and they wanted him/her to be on the hot seat!! Hell with what is best for the country - it's not in the modern-day Republicans' dictionary!!
