It's surely an institutional play with cooperation from the MM. The buyer perhaps is hoping for an eventual collaboration with a mighty pharma (once all litigation is behind) with or without the RS; and, the seller is cahing in profit and may be one of the litigators who settled for shares @5.6 cents. In any case, optimism has increased and pessimism is waning. Holders should benefit.
After thinking this over, I've been looking to add more long-term shares and this may be the perfect time.
Lawsuits are pretty much over, Cam has shown no interest in selling below .075 and the MM has bought millions of shares just below that price, therefore providing us with somewhat of a security blanket around that price range unless bad news comes out. If the stock price goes up then Cam's minimal selling price goes up, so both we as common shareholders and Cam can both benefit.
IMO - this is the time to buy, folks.
Its down 5.24%, with a volume of 2.425M shares, which is a lot of action for such a low priced stock. Hopefully the people buying know something we don't, which wouldn't be surprising, because Gary has left us in the dark for so long that we're now blind as bats.
Im all in except some shares i own of a few other companies in hopes that one of them goes up so that i can get a bigger piece of actc. Nviv, gern, cur, and cerp. If one of these goes up im selling to buy actc. Time is short. Steve
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Here's what I suspect is happening:
Camofi sells below market price afterhours to a MM. This is good for us and ACTC but also good for Cam as it doesn't upset the trading day and keeps the stock price higher.
A MM who then slowly sells those shares over the next day. Over the last three days I believe the shares were all sold just below $0.075. The MM will want to keep the price around $0.075 in order to sell off what they bought after hours.
If the strategy is being played out like I suspect, we should hopefully have a pretty solid base at $0.075, hopefully at a minimum. The stock rising is in both our and Cam's best interest, so showing that there is solid support is good for both common shareholders and for Cam.
I suspect that these high volume after market close trades are related to settlements with warrant holders of ACTC. The fact that they are moving the shares in the after-market is an indication they do not want such large volumes to trash the stock during normal trading hours. As to buyers, I suspect they are new investors, likely small institutions, who believe ACTC is on to something with their programs, especially with all Warrant litigation matters settled, the prospects for the Company are looking very bright.
I bet you are right. I just hope it doesn't tank the stock if they keep doing it and discourage investors. That settlement is a lot of money to pull out of the company. I don't know the details but I wonder if there is a limit to how much they can cash out during a certain time frame. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow and the rest of the week.
That's close to $200,000 bucks. I wonder if it's "settlement" related. After the stock went up nicely toward the end of the day this happens "after hours" and drops the price lower than it was all day. Just friggen great.
