.....WANT IF THIS DOSEN'T WORKOUT? All that money and time spent, and don't forget about the patients who had hoped and prayed for a cure. I don't want to think about it, because it's to unpleasant, especially when I had dreams of a new Prius and an Hawaiian vacation later this fall, but of course this pales compared with those afflicted with AMD & SMD.
Looks like greed works for Gordon Gekko, but not for the majority of us. Of course he did serve time didn't he, where we won't have to.
Gold, the Prius is so ugly that it's beautiful, somewhat like a Chinese Shar-Pei pup. But with this said, if ACTC climbs above $5 per share within the next year, I will be looking to upgrade my auto outlook, too. It's going to be an interesting next six months, thats for sure.
That's a distinct possibility. It's just way to early in the research to determine if and why it works or doesn't work with some and not others. What's bizarre is that one of the first two trial patients had no signs that the engraftment took place and yet her vision improved, go figure. Maybe they'll find that just shoving a needle in your retina is what stimulates your body to repair it's retina. Anyone have a needle? They hinted at that super stem cell that supposedly worked on a rat's MS. The possiblilities are endless at this poin t, so we just have to ride this out Keep. In the meantime, go to the vintage clothing store, get a floral rayon shirt, grab a pina colada and go sit in the sun and listen to Don Ho in a park near a Toyota dealership----and dream of the possibilities.
Of course it may not work, its new technology. That's why it's so speculative. For Geron it already didn't work. It may take a second generation of companies for it work. But if it does work for ACT and others those who invested get those out sized, capitalist pig, republican type of returns - hopefully when it does we won't have to pay confiscatory, left sided cap gains tax.

Theres, I'm all for those capitialist pig repub returns on investment(gamble), and I'm all for the 15% capital gains tax. I figure we took the risk, therefore we deserve the gains, too.
PS: Geron didn't drop their ESC spinal cord injury trials, because it wouldn't work, it just wasn't a profitable venture for them, not enough spinal cord injuries to justify the cost, but another biotech, Bio Time, has bought it from them, and hopefully one day they will get it to work.
Funny thing, that Bio Time's CEO Dr Michael West was an original founder of Geron, and also was president of ACT at one time in it's history, the guy gets around, wouldn't you say.
