When will the results of the second trial be released?
I think Elk or Lars told me once already but I've forgotten. These results are what we have to look forward to in the coming months I hope. It's been about 8 months since Maurie Hill had her procedure and so far there is no change in her vision although the cells are alive and well and lving in her eyeball. I wonder if they'll find that more is not more, and that fewer cells applied at sequential intervals is more effective. That's kind of what I mean about this technology, it's so new the possibilities have yet to be determined and may take many more years to determine. The one lady in the first trial had no engraftment at all and yet her vision improved and she is still maintaining that improvement. It's probably a good idea to let the hen sit on this egg for as long as she needs to in order to let it hatch. All I can say is thank god for Dr. Lanza, I think he's going to be a real superstar when all is said and done.
Nj, I believe March, 2014 is when the completion of the phI/II trials will be ending, and thats when we should know whether or not the rpe injection are working. Maury Hill will have her 1 year checkup in July, so far she hasen't reported improvement in her treated eye, but neither has she reported any further deterioration either. And during her 6 week checkup she said there may have been some light flash across her treated eye, but it was to early to tell for sure. So hopefully in July she receives a confirmation that her treated eye is receiving light, because if she does see light in the treated eye it wiil be great for her, and for us shareholders too. ......only 4 months to go.
