For those who are Christians, let us be thankful for Easter,, a time for family and friends to celebrate the rebirth of Christ and for folks that have other religions, also a time to give thanks for life,, for those who have not found a way to see and feel that energy that is intelligent and cohessive for the world, bless you as well,, for all those that are in pain emotionally or physically, the poor, the sick, etc, be blessed,, let goodness always prevail over evil,, may everyone have rebirth of their lives and peace be with you,,
Re: "...for those who have not found a way to see and feel that energy that is intelligent and cohessive for the world, bless you as well..."
craig, you do here clearly see yourself as speaking from a superior position, that of one who has found his way to an "energy that is intelligent and cohessive for the world" as opposed to those whom you are implying are less fortunate, either with respect to having an inferior religion or perhaps those who are only "mere" agnostics or atheists and, therefore, presumably lacking your access to the greater energy that is intelligent and cohesive for the world.
Such a position does ignore excellent arguments and considerable documented evidence that religion has contributed tremendously to many, probably most, unimaginably destructive conflicts and wars.
If there is any "good" religions in this little dirt ball, it is Scientology, the only religion not founded on myths, but science! For the lowdown on religions, go to "truthbeknown., if you dare! More than 2000 years ago, Epicuris said; fear is the mother of all gods and more recently I.M.Gottfrei said "Pain and Fear are the parents of all gods" For the "sheeple", religion is just one of many ways people attempt to manage pain and fear.
