What say you re (a) the likelihood over 200,000 children will lose access to school meals, (b) nutrition is key to education, (c) a poorly educated society is a national security risk?

      • I would say:

        A. 200,000 school kids could still pack a lunch from the food stamps their parent receive.....Just means a little extra work in the morning.

        B. Nutrition is key to growing a healthy body and sound mind. So, doesn't pertain to education, as our democratically ran schools don't teach anything worth learning or contributing to society anyway.....

        C. Is pretty much answered by B........However, the majority of American kids that are obesely rotund are not starving anyway, but I do agree their education is extremely wanting and poor, hence would not lead to a national security risk, as they have nothing of knowledge to disclose. Bet they could direct you to the nearest Burger King or KFC though.....

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • "Food aid accounts for almost 80 percent of spending in the farm bill and has given lawmakers from non-rural areas a significant stake in the final outcome of the farm bill."

cut and paste for the cut and paste lib elk......

      • You are absolutely right Muzzi. However the other 20% can be described this way. “The appalling truth is that many people are paid to grow nothing. “The main recipients of the subsidies in the bill are the rich and famous, including families of current members of Congress and the USDA secretary Tom Vilsack. Big farmers with record high incomes, record low debt and vastly improved farm technology are getting your taxpayer money.” Republicans are fighting hard to have the amount for food stamps reduced but they are not saying much about reducing that remaining 20%. Another example of the more you have the more you get.
