Has Robert Lanza received any stock this year? Sold any?
I was looking at the filings and noticed no acquisitions(as from his employment agreement) or sales this year.
I think he is supposed to get 1,285,000 + per quarter.
If he was awarded shares, it sure looks like he's holding tight and paying taxes(on his shares) instead of selling a third for tax payment.
He generally sells before tax time, a few months. It's the same most years. He doesn't sell throughout the year. Besides, it's not his decision. If you understood his filing, a broker makes the decision for him, based upon his general instructions. He has no discretion. The broker sells regardless of who he is, based on the best time to meet his requirements for paying his taxes. That is his FIDUCIARY responsibility to his client. And as to how many shares he needs to sell to meet his tax obligation, it depends on where the price is and how much he owes. If he owes a lot and the price has substantially declined, may may have to sell a lot more than 1/3 to pay his taxes. I don't recall the rules completely, but it can be a bit tricky when you get paid in stock to meet your tax obligations.
