In my history of trading this stock, Gary has yet to make a major scientific announcement or announce a business deal or partnership during a quarterly conference call. He's never announced anything that has caused a dramatic rise in share price during these things. He may have alluded to such an announcement, such as the Lancet, but nothing beyond that.
These calls have always just been about providing a general update and overall direction or general announcements. Major PRs, scientific journals and everything else have always been separate from these calls.
I kind of favor this approach, because then he is rewarding the holders of the stock and not the traders who try and trade around events like this.
We often see a reasonable increase before these types of calls, nothing substantial or mind-blowing comes out and then the price falls back to where it was.
I would agree. Maybe this time, he'll announce a partnership, OR put ACTC on the selling block... ( i.e. sell the golden goose NOW before the stem cell industry goes to selling stem cell burgers). lol :-)
