From a 9/6/13 Small Cap Network article: Bloomberg mentions Advanced Cell Technology
"Advanced Cell Technology Gets Mentioned By Bloomberg. Advanced Cell Technology was briefly mentioned in a Tuesday Bloomberg article about plans by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to fast track regulatory approval for cell-based products and to set new research guidelines. Japan is also funding a $1.12 billion study of a type of stem cell free from ethical concerns over embryo harvesting and it was noted that Advanced Cell Technology’s human trials are using cells harvested from embryos. Advanced Cell Technology’s shares appear to be trending upwards since the mention while the long term performance is more mixed."
Danny, you're really reaching with this brief news article, as it's been out there for ten days now and hasen't helped ACTC's share price at all. The article regarding the Japanese governments willingness to fast track stem cell treatments, just shows how fast they're catching up to us, and they will pass us if we don't wakeup and start fast tracking our treatments soon. On Oct 22 ACT had better have proof of something big and wonderful to say, or we're all in deep dodo.
It's troubling that the Japanes are out there bragging about their stem cell accomplishments and there's not been a peep out of ACT, also very troubling is how quiet the CEO & Chairman of ACT has become even after being ostracized for being a bad manager by a Seeking Alpha article.
NJdanny - IMO, I think all the hustle and bustle in the stem cell community is based on ACT's success. Notice all the announcement we have been reading from other companies. Lanza's method has been on the ground and working! ACT will be first to market... this fact is majorly important and a major coup in the pharmaceutical world. Think acetaminophen...it's synonymous with Tylenol. We even interchange the two words...Why is that? First to market! Good luck to the scientists with this study and ACT/LANZA!!!
Once again, MISINFORMATION about the harvesting of embryonic stem cells. Yes, they did it ONCE and no longer have to do it to get EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS. They need to call is EMBRYO-LESS STEM CELLS and get the word out to all the flat earth folks.
