    O/T- Work To Eat

Sen Lee of Utah introduces a bill that those that are on welfare must work if they are able bodied to pay for their food stamps,, Even some dems are in favor of this,, of course I have supported this avenue forever and then once the able bodied work, they can get off welfare and be productive members of society,, they won't be allowed to be lazy,, this is a good idea in my humble opinion,,

    • According to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, who have destroyed millions of jobs, and will, with Obamacare, destroy millions more, it is liberating to be unemployed. Of course these people and their policies of "liberating "people by putting them out of work, cheat everyone. They cheat those who work out of much of the fruits of their labor , and they cheat the unemployed and dependent out of opportunity to better themselves. And they tell them that they have been "liberated".

    • put the #$%$ govt leeches to work now!!!!!!

    • Even the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1600s figured that one out!! No work ... no food!

    • of course the losers should have to work for their free money

BTW, bumC, it is, in fact, the case that a lot of people qualifying for and using Food Stamps are working, usually very hard and often enough more than one job, but they still need Food Stamps to feed their families because corporations like Walmart are paying them starvation wages and forcing them to go to the Govt., i.e. us taxpayers, for Food Stamps to make up the gap thereby helping those corporations to bring in greater profits and very nice wages for their CEOs and other top executives. How about a decent minimum wage for people already working hard and how about corporations not getting away with pushing some of their own operating costs onto us taxpayers in the service of their profits?

bumC, you are not helping things here by your lazy use of words. Most of the people on Welfare are White, especially the ones in West Virginia. Still, you imply all people on Welfare are "lazy" and you should only be talking that way if a majority, if not most, of the group being discussed is Black. Let's get some able bodied productive energy back into your choice of words, asap.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Absolutely! Who wouldn't support something like that? Heck, work could include volunteer work, street clean up, etc.......but not sitting at home.
