Most BIG employees would easily pass for day laborers. They don't know. They don't care. They often dumber than a box of rocks. They are here today and gone tomorrow. I imagine that they aren't treated well but proper training would help a lot. I can't tell you how many times I've seen BIG employees use a 'quantity' key for two or three items thinking they're saving time. I've seen BIG employees who scan then bag, scan then bag, scan then bag rather than scanning everything and then bagging while the customer tenders payment. I've seen BIG cashiers ring up a sale twice and then switch to another register because the first register didn't print a receipt while actually charging the customer three times because a Visa card was used. Maybe they should administer an I.Q. test to all BIG applicants before hiring them. BIG doesn't offer self-checkout so there's no way to avoid dealing with these dregs of society.
