    Job offer...

I've been offered a store manager's job by
    Consolidated. It appears there are
    employees who are posting
on this board. Could you give me any
    info
regarding what the company is really like and if it is a
good company to work for. Thanks.....

    • upgrade by McDonald Investments...the first of many. IMO if we break $38 we could test the 52 wk high in 7-10 trading days. Good investing longs.

    • Aristotle is correct. I don't know DeWayne or
anyone else here, but pleaaasseee, let's move on. CNS
has just invested $80M in a venture which, based on
recent valuations, could be valued at an north of $2
Billion on an IPO. THAT'S worth discussion. I was a buyer
yesterday and hope all longs here recognize this new
potential. Folks, let's pull up our pants and make some
      money!! Good investing LONGS.

    • While I commend your defense of your mentor, let
      me pose this
question to you. Do you really
      believe you are extending to
      DeWayne the honor and
      recognition he deserves by slinging
      slurs at those you do
      not agree with.

      Your post smacks of passion,
but, I am sure you could be much
      more communicative
if you would leave out the garbage. People
      will
not listen your points if they are delivered in
      vile
      rhetoric.

Remember, this is a forum to deliver info about CNS and
      to
herald news like our agreement to establish an internet
      link
with KB and BrainPlay.com, a pivotal event in our
      company.

I am honored to both know DeWayne and to call him a
      friend
and I know he would much prefer to see all of us
      support our
      company and each other.

    • why you lying scumsucking dog. you talk of
      professionalism and
then attack a fellow manager who you dont
      even know? plus you
      repeat slanderous lies about
the best DM in the company? who
      then is the
unprofessional here? for your information jackass,
      i am well
aware of what my position demands. i do not have

any tattoos. never have. and i don't have no problem
      with the
new dress code. managers need to look
      better to our customers.
      you say dewayne is class
guy. how can a low life scumbag like
      you even know
class when he sees it? and how dare you brag on
      the
man on the one hand and spread the lies on him with
      the
other? i will say this again for you thick
      head:

HE DID NOT SAY THOSE THINGS. ANYONE CAN GET MAD SOME
      TIMES, BUT
A PERSON WOULD HAVE TO BE PLAIN STUPID TO
      SAY THE COMMENTS YOU
SAY HE SAID. HE IS NOT
STUPID. SO I SAY AGAIN. LEAVE HIM ALONE!

      as for me
i apologise to anyone who took offence to my
      foul
language. i got mad in defending dewayne and got carried
      away
some. i do not apologise to the lying gutless fool
      big_lots_mgr
because he only attack me to hide his own lying attack on
      dewayne.
i apologise for my writing and grammer. i guess i
      am not as
educated and professional as the sorry
liar in that way. i know
i am not the smartest man
in the world but i am a good store
      manager and i
owe it all to dewayne tanner. he took the time
      and
patience to work with me and show me closeout way. he has
      done
this for many others to. i thank him. i will always be
      greatfull.

    • Warning to all CNS associates: This site has been
hacked! Everyone associated with the Company should
      refrain from making
      any posts here!

      I, along
with many others who work at the General Office, have

gotten a lot of laughs out of some of the things that
      have been
posted here. But there is a faction of
      upper management that is
very angry and are out for
revenge. Because of freedom of speech
      issues, it is
doubtful that you will be confronted directly, but
      if
you notice that the attitude toward you suddenly
      changes, be
      very careful.

      The main indicator
that something is amiss is that some of the
      posts
have disappeared. Out of the last 150 posts, #575,
      611,
612, & 614 are missing. They were either hacked and
      removed, or
Yahoo! is cooperating with someone here at
      CNS. In either case,
      thake care! You have been
      warned......

    • The point that I was trying to make was that
"Tanners_The_Man" is very vulgar in his posts to this board. I am
not in Tanner's District, however I believe that my
peers in my District would not associate with someone
like "Tanner_The_Man" (whoever he is) because he fails
to understand that Professionalism is required now
to be a member of store management. He is likely to
be upset with the new dress code. How will he cover
      his tatoos??
Will he now have to wear a shirt with
sleeves??? As I stated before, Dewayne is a class guy. I
have worked for him before and would be willing to do
so again. Concerning the statements he made
concerning the Home Office, he did say them. He was probably
right at the time. However this year will be a banner
year for CNS...will you be in the picture?????

    • Please enlighten me......

      Are you saying
that a person who speaks up and supports their
      DM
should be treated like a pariah by the other
      managers?

Boy, I wouldn't want to work in your district (or be
      your DM)!

If you are the one that is falsely
      claiming that this DM made
      inflammatory statements
about people at the General Office,
      why shouldn't
YOU be the one that is "found" and
      terminated?

I'm sorry, but you people that are taking pot shots
      at each
other over this DM are not making a whole
      lot of sense....

    • Are you someone in authority who can make a
      difference?

Otherwise, what good would it do do e-mail you with

      problems?

Please identify yourself if you are someone who it
      would
      be worthwhile to talk to.

    • Ladies and Gentlemen...

      I agree completely
with the right of free speech and would
      not
disallow anyone the ability to vent. However, let's
      leave
this web site to what it was established for... to be
      a forum
      for factual information concerning
      Consolidated Stores. Let it
      herald our company, not demean
      it.

I invite anyone who wants to discuss internal
      issues to e-mail
      me at Aristotle_52@yahoo.com and I
      will be very happy to
      discuss any issue. I have
been a part of CNS for many years
      and look forward
to it's continued success. I have also experienced
many of it's growing pains and look at problems
      as
opportunities for us all to grow professionally.

      E-mail
me if you wish, but, let's keep the dirty laundry in
      house.

      Thanks......

    • More lunch time wisdom from the
      Prophet:

      Dewayne Tanner discharged.

      District 32 broken up
      and the stores split between
      Elam &
      McKinney.

The wisdom: They who don't appreciate what
      they've
      got, get what they deserve.

      The caution: Your
prophet works in the G.O. and hears
      things.

The warning: The Prophet is rarely wrong.
