"Why did Mr. Cooper come on board as a Vice President, responsible for Equity of HMPR, if the bank was in jeopardy of not surviving?"
"Equity of HMPR"? Liar!! He's named "Senior Vice President -- Director, Products & Business Line" He's a retail products guy, not a financial analyst. Why did he come on board? He's probably asking himself the same question. LOL!
I know you know how to trade, but one thing I have experienced with HMPR is, you can put in an order for LESS than the current BID, and if you leave it there long enough, they will fill your buy order by bringing the price down, making the trades look like sells! They do this to make it look like people are selling and IF they do, then they fill your order and absorb the shares from those who sold to cover some of their short position! It has happened to me several times! I watch the tape closely and you can see when it is happening! It gets you a better entry price! The only problem is now, the last time they did it NO one sold which just added to their short problem! The volume has dried up, so now they are mirror trading the stock to make up volume! Example: you place a trade to buy 5000 shares at say $1.82. Current bid is $1.85. They will start walking it down to make it look like sells and they get someone to sell off 10,000 shares. They fill your order for 5000 shares and buy 10,000 shares, netting them 5000 shares of short cover! It has been happening for almost 3 months now at different levels! Good luck!
