    Sad but true

    DOM IS DOOMED

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock

(MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 am.

    While his coffeepot

    (MADE IN CHINA )

was perking, he shaved with his

    electric razor

    (MADE IN HONG KONG )

    He put on a

    dress shirt

    (MADE IN SRI LANKA ),

    designer jeans

    (MADE IN SINGAPORE )

    and

    tennis shoes

    (MADE IN KOREA)

After cooking his breakfast in his new

    electric skillet

    (MADE IN INDIA )

    he sat down with his

    calculator

    (MADE IN MEXICO )

to see how much he could spend today. After setting his

    watch

    (MADE IN TAIWAN )

    to the radio

    (MADE IN INDIA )

    he got in his car

    (MADE IN GERMANY )

    filled it with GAS

    (from Saudi Arabia )

    and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging

    and fruitless day

    checking his

    Computer

    (made in MALAYSIA ),

John decided to relax for a while.

    He put on his sandals

    (MADE IN BRAZIL ),

    poured himself a glass of

    wine

    (MADE IN FRANCE )

    and turned on his

    TV

    (MADE IN INDONESIA ),

and then wondered why he can't

    find a good paying job

    in AMERICA

AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT

    MADE IN KENYA!

It is SAD BUT TRUE, The only Problem with this sad Tale is that It`s the sequel to the Presidents before him. All the products you listed would have been made overseas for decades and have nothing to do with our Current President. Hiding behind cutsie little stories like yours is just taking the long way around to say I`m a fearfull little boy who is afraid of President Obama because he is Black.I suppose The Bush Crime Family is OK in your Book because they were the right Flavor, VANILLA.

    • More EPA rules to get more jobs out of The U.S. now cap and trade they have no clue!

    • From last year's 10-K. Assuming 3Bcf production since then, reserves would be around 16-17Bcf. At current production rates, that gives about 5-6 years left before it is all gone.
At that time residual value is zero. The question then is how high would NG have to be to give us >$15 in distributions in the next 5 or so years. Based on the last distribution, current annual distributions are only about $1. Based on current distributions value of DOM is about $5. Of course, the distributions should go up some but they'd have to go up a lot to even break even on DOM's current share price of $15.

"The net proved reserves attributable to the Royalty Interests have been estimated as of December 31, 2008, 2007 and 2006, by independent petroleum engineers. The reserve quantities of 19.8 Bcf for 2008 compared to 22.6 Bcf for 2007 and compared to 26.9 Bcf for 2006, reflect a decline in reserves between 2006 and 2007 and between 2007 and 2008 as a result of production and a significant change in prices which affects the change in quantities."

      For 12 Months Ended
      September 30,
      2008 2007 2006

      Production (Bcf)(1) 3.098 3.402 3.665
      Production (MMBtu)(2) 3.104 3.415 3.692
      Average Contract Price Received ($/MMBtu) $ 9.10 $ 6.84 $ 8.98
      Average Index Price ($/MMBtu) $ 9.35 $ 7.07 $ 9.22

    • you forgot to look how far the reserves dropped since that time. Dom is heading to zero in about 6 years (according to their own reserve statements), so valuation depends on distributions during that time.
Which is, as you say, like a call option on NG. It all comes down to how fast NG can get back to more profitable prices. If we have a few years of low prices then DOM is a loser.

    • Go read the prospectus, the triggers that will terminate the trust will most likely happen with enough gas left in the ground that will need to be sold as a fair market basis. We have no way of knowing what that fair market basis will be at the time and it's possible that if gas prices increase significantly it could be higher than the current trading price. Either way this stock is a call option on Natural Gas that could pay off nicely. Take a look at this security the last time natural gas futures were at $4.50, DOM traded above $18.00! I guess those people that were paying that much for this security just didn't get it huh? I have a feeling its the current investors who aren't paying attention to DOM because it is very thin and illiquid, but one day a hedge fund will do the math and scoop up all the shares up to $16 minimum, mark my words!

    • When an American buys product manufactured abroad it is not only like "digging your own grave" but that of your family and friends also. Wake Up America and monitor your elected officals too.

    • there is not much left to say except---are all of these countries paying john unemployment?

    • Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on with this stock.
