    hand or digit transplant

hand or digit transplants can experience problems with the use of immunosuppression meds. Neutropenia (depth, duration, and pace) is one of the most important risk factors for infection. Other factors contributing to the immunosuppressive state include cellular dysfunction (i.e Purkinje fibers dysfunctions )humoral dysfunction, infection with immunomodulating viruses etc.

A medication like Inosine which has been proposed for spinal cord injury because it improves axonal rewiring, and for administration after stroke, because observation has shown that axonal re-wiring effect. Administered by infusion could it counter adverse reactions to the Purkinje fibers caused by immunosuppression meds for lets say a digit transplant ?

    with prolonged hospitalization

    • PS: by the way the baby whose hand was replaced came from it's twin donation. In this case broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents with prolonged hospitalization were used. Really as they found out the agents where not need in such aggressive mode because when you transplant twin to twin the body does not reject the donation as it views it as it's own.

Twins are rare with special qualities shame in this case one may have passed. Special care to the surviving twin is need as a void will be felt regardless of age. Talk to twins that lost a love one or were removed for their siblings report problems, physical emotional. Example twins should be fed at the same time if not the 1st born of 2's will dominate the other until corrective "measures" are taken. Favoritism not recommended neither prolonged and unexplained separation until adulthood even then they gravitate to each other.
