TEREX ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER 2010 RESULTS

    RE: Standpoint Reasearch.

    Performance Summary
Standpoint Research is currently ranked risk-adjusted at # 4 versus 191 funds and research firms according to Motley Fool, Briefing.com & Yahoo! Finance through September 14, 2010. They have an algorithm that factors in performance (two-thirds weight) and accuracy (one-third weight), where accuracy is defined as the percentage of recommendations beating the S&P-500 by at least 500 basis points. They have been tracking us since October 2008 and have the 113 recommendations on file time-stamped that we made since then ... 54 are open, 59 were closed. We are in the 95th percentile on performance and 96th percentile on accuracy. With regards to our performance from 2003-2007, see picture on the right (from 2008). That award was for our four-year track record through December 31, 2007.

    • problem is that management wants to do an acquisition. we have to trust that they will acquire a good company at the right price without diluting shareholders.

also, if the company losing money. then they need to hold onto the cash and get rid of their debt. you have to question their internal growth when they want to do an acquisition. the acquistions are what got them in trouble in the first place.
