    Time to sell

    I don't see in the long run if growth is running at 2% or less and inflation is running at 3 to 4% how this can be good for the market. We are getting a net loss of 2% or so.

    I'm with Fed Governor Fischer in that I think we are setting ourselves up for rampant inflation, low growth, and high unemployment.

    • I just listened to the Chief Economist at Comerica; he used to work for the Fed. He says we are already in a recession, however, he does not forsee the 3-4% inflation that you do. He thinks the recession will add a downward pressure on the rising inflation, then the (January) rate cuts will kick in, allowing us to go through about a 10-month recession without excessively high inflation. In fact, he expects about a 2.5% inflation for the year and a 2% fed funds rate in a few months.
