The Institute for Supply Management, a trade group of purchasing managers, said Monday that its index of factory activity rose to 51.5. That's up from 49.6 in August.
A reading above 50 signals growth and below indicates contraction. The index had been below that threshold from June through August.
Manufacturing for companies BASED in the Us grew. In four years that has changed with the good jobs shipped overseas. The profits are NOT going to the same people either. This is part of the problem with the unemployment #'s. Also, why they are manipulated to show an improving economy. Yea it improving, for the people that work for it and own it. Not for the ones that own less of it and won't benefit. The elimination of the middle class is obvious here and there is no hiding it.
