Last Fall or early this Spring I remember ADM donated about 100 million tons of soybeans to CUBA. I believe ADM was lobbying very hard to convince congress to allow trade with CUBA. Congress recently failed to pass legislation that would allow trade with Cuba. But I guess it was a great tax write off for ADM.
Creditwatch announcement ain't gonna' help this POS.
I've held this puppy for a couple of years as a contrarian play against inflation and result has been dead money or a little worse than dead because I wasn't bright enough to trade it when it cycled up into the high teens. Do your own DD but I would wait for S&P to announce their own DD before doing anything.
ADM is in the business of making grease seals for industrial applications such as widget grinders and foobar transmissions. Their annual profit margin has historically been about 27% on sales of $29billion. Strong Asian demand for ADM's reverse-facing automobile mirrors should bolter the company's profits for decades to come. Unfortunately, because of a key difference with the Justice Department concerning their IRS filings, ADM's cork gasket business has suffered.
If I were you, I'd start buying every share of ADM you can find.
ps. Do a little research before asking such innane questions...
