learn from the bakers. the bakers are investing in RNA antisense/oligo technology. it is a developing field in biotech not yet harnessed. they see growth and potential in this sector. they might not know which co. will perform the best, but they've invested in several different platforms. arwr, tkmr, isis, gern, idra at low stock prices. analyzing their holding by quarter you can see after stocks run, they take some profits to hedge their position.
with idra they bring their experience in gene expression analysis (ghdx) and disease targeting (waldenstrom at pcyc) to the table.
WE are in a major Biotech correction phase , there is no point in going technical and fundamental talk over here , once the storm dust settle , we shall come up and discuss opinions , explanation , and expectations
Keep faith , and stay long , selling out is not a good option to change the coarse of way in such periods , remember that these biotech stocks are driven by speculation on science and technology being proven
unfortunately the shorts are doing a good job of making him look that way. One mistake...buying so much that he can't buy more, cant defend the price from the shorts. A large fund should have room to maneuver, be able to buy on down turns to defend the price.
Maybe------he's NOT worried at all? Do you think they really think in terms of short-term stock price movement like we do? I don't think they are concerned and bought their enormous position fo huge long-term gains. They don't care right now if the price is $3.50, $4.00, $5.00....they are looking for $10---$15---$20! And I do not believe the stock can stay at this level for long with as much potential as IDRA's drugs and treatments have in the market and in medicine. If you have faith here you are definitely a buyer-----and the sellers are being very generous dropping the price this low. We will all be thanking them in a few months-----or less.
Pretty smart the way the Baker Bros struck the sweet-heart deal for up to 19.9% of the company for just over a dollar per share. They have warrants for so many shares they don't need to buy any more. I am a little puzzled why the company would give BB such a big claim on the company for so little money, unless the company is worried about a hostile takeover.
