Glad To See This Board ...

This is one of my bigger holdings.
Been in and out of BDCs for years now; when I found BDCL, it simplified things for me.
I still hold PSEC as a separate entity, but keep asking myself why, when I can get a better return here.
Guess I just like PSECs monthly divs.
Also, PSEC trades more like a preferred with its tight range.
This should give appreciation as well as divs ... thats my plan anyway.
Of course, if the market tanks, this will follow; but I'm optimistic about things. I think we'll see more good times ahead than bad.

    • I am holding BDCL primarily as a way to have broad exposure to BDCLs and also because of the leverage it offers. I believe that as BDCLs become better known and understood they will become more popular with the average investor, especially as BDCLs grow along with the growing economy. There is one other aspect of future BDCL growth that The Economist wrote their lead article about a few months ago and that is why BDCs, MLPs, and REITs came into being, (as a free market response to high taxes and over regulation), and the roll that BDCLs, MLPs, and REITs play in meeting financing and capital needs that are no longer being met in more traditional ways.
I also hold PSEC, largely because of the monthly dividend, but also because I believe it has a good deal of growth ahead of it and because I like how it is run. I especially like their ATM approach to selling shares rather than disruptive SPOs and I like their income diversity.
Hopefully we will be able to attract additional contributors to this board which should be of benefit to all.
