"is this where the name "shell" company originated?"
No. It originated with the notion that there was the "shell" of a public company that had no activity, but still remained public.
But, gee. You were real close. Nice try.
"maybe an addition of pending clinical programs with projected timelines to the OPK website would add more credibility." So, since every web site of every company says they are "leaders" in this or that carries weight with you?
Again, why don't you, and the rest of your ilk, take a minute and read the prospectus that the company offered to the big guys? It's filed with the SEC and probably has a little more gravitas than some web site hype.
Well, here's a suggestion for you. If you don't know the difference between a biotech company and a Dow Jones 30 component, then maybe you should go play with the DJ-30 stocks and leave this "uncertainty" to others.
That is precisely why purchases is in the name of Frost Gamma Trust - "Trust" - the man has a plan in place. If you are worried about your money, don't you think a billionaire will have a plan. Do you think Steve Jobs and Buffet has plans ? You bet !!!
Are you really comparing OPK to AAPL or Berkshire? Please!
Owning the shares in a trust is estate planning not corporate planning. OPK needs Frost and his money and that should be obvious. Without him and his money (let alone his estate issues of what to do with the stock)what is this loss making thing worth?
If you have not thought that through then maybe you should.
