Help Desk Associate
Location: Miami, FL
OPKO Health, Inc., is a publicly traded healthcare company involved in the discovery, development, and commercialization of next-generation diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and vaccines. OPKO’s headquarters, located in Miami, FL., is looking for a Help Desk Associate with 2 years’ experience to assist in its Information Technology Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
Setting up PC and laptops in addition to installing software and peripheral equipment.
Interviewing users to collect information about problems, then leading users through diagnostic procedures to determine the source of error.
Determining the source of the problem (hardware, software, user error) and working with the user to resolve the issue.
Exhibiting excellent resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor.
Contacting software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom.
Traveling periodically to other company locations.
Two years’ Help Desk experience.
MS Office Certifications a plus.
