Bulls make Money, Bears make money and Pigs get slaughtered....but I just couldn't sell any today. The bullish candles and the 35M shares short are saying nothing now but 14 and at this rate looks like tomorrow....I don't want to experience sellers remorse so Im holding again... Ive waited too long for this squeeze and Im enjoying this too much to part with any
stay long my friends
All us longs are holding because there are many more days like this before us. I will be damned if I dump out of this stock before it really begins its run. If you are wedded to Wall Street sayings, I will go with "let your profits run". There is a "old" saying for just about every condition in the market, chose wisely.
BUY when there is fear and panic. The SHORTS are in PANIC mode, LONGS are in PANIC mode of losing a buck or two profit, we go higher. Not selling is not being a PIG, it is called being LONG and investing for 2016, that is my time frame, opko at 30, MIN.
Well said Burn. I have a friend who I begged to buy into OPK at $8 range call me today. He said I was greedy for not selling and that I was going to get burned and lose my profits. I told him to sell out of his 401K and put it in the fixed because since he was up over 200,000 in it he's being greedy to want more.
I agree. This is not a trading stock, but a buy and hold on for the ride. I think Opko hits 30 by 2015. That's only a little more than a double from here. I am not selling until the good Doctor sells the company. Think of all the people that wish they had never sold Berkshire Hathaway stock years ago. If you sell now, who knows how hard and how high it will be to get back in.
Burn, sold some puts today which works nicely with my Jan calls. There are so many ways to make money with this stock (except shorting) but I agree the most conservative way is to buy and hold until some of the products in the pipeline have a chance to come out with great success. The recent Zebra investment is yet another example of the brilliance behind Dr Frost's strategy of using part of Opko as a medical venture capital arm backing those with proven track records of inventing game changing technologies and drugs. I see your price target and feel that it is a bit low. Either way this has been a great investment and looks likely to continue the upside run in both the short and long term.
Burnaka, that's a great quote - "Not selling is not being a PIG, it is called being LONG."
I'm sick of people calling it "greedy" when you don't take profits after a couple good weeks.
That's ridiculous and offensive. I appreciate your perfect articulation of the other - more intelligent - point of view.
