What do you define as long term?I have astock in my portfolio that I purchased in 1973. Nowthats long term. It is still appreciating and thereforeno reason to sell.I normally say 5+ years islong term. But some people (investors) use 6+months?What do you say?I normally buy shares to holdfor 5+ years and therfore say I am a long termer. ButI also trade shares in the 6+ monthsrange.I have the luxury of holding my losing stocks forlong term turnarounds and taking my short term profitswhen appropriate. This does not always work, but it has for me.
