Everything in Europe has been effected negative. The truth is ALU is a Company that is still generating BILLIONS in business. The Company is making strides in balancing their bottom line. Their ace in hole is PATENTS! They have a strangle hold on any Company that will try to exploit thier technology. My prediction is the Company will be broken up. Breaking up the Company is best for the Shareholder.
Don't forget the year end sell off. Volume is low, and the small players are looking for their write off...I'm thinking huge bounce back after the first, real big bounce with minimum positive news from Europe.
Oh please, such nonsense...here's a clue, future technology or prospective development will not influence the bottom line to any meaningful degree. You guys have got to grow up and get real. I'm not suggesting BK (yet), but assuming ALU stays solvent, ALL of you will be considerably older before this thing see's $5 again.....and I'm being exceedingly optimistic. Europe is going into recession, if not depression. You guys keep acting like everything is honky dory, while Rome burns.
Yeah, but if you supplied the gasoline and torches in Rome, you made a killing.
Even in depressions there are profitable companies.
The real question to answer this bankruptcy mess - Will ALU continue to reduce debt at a faster rate than its short term reduction in income before the light technology takes off?
Management has been reducing debt, and as long as they stay focused on that and keeping expenses manageable, income will eventually outpace debt.
That said, it may take 2years to get there. This is definitely a long term hold with gigantic upside.
