When i heard the Downgrade today i just shook my head in disgust. It shows how dishonest the Market is. ALU is making incredible moves that has resulted in profitability. Your right it is a "Joke" I hope a Criminal Investigation is lauched on todays Downgrade.

Probably not gonna happen...The SEC has bigger fish to fry.
These analysts unfortunately can pretty much do or say what
they want....what will happen is over time , like NOW ,they will loose there credibility and nobody will pay any attention to them , like NOW ! ! !

It did on those with loose hands. Investors who invest in ALU have to have conviction in the company and understand the potential it has as a growth stock.

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanford c. Bernstein has renewed Monday his 'outperformance' opinion and its objective of two euros on Alcatel course # Paris: fr0000120073 - news #-Lucent after 4th quarter results in line with expectations.
The broker said that the operational performance of the Telecom OEM exceeded its estimates in a tighter than expected cost control.
He added that the strength of the flow of cash to the group, an element he had anticipated for its part, should dispel the concerns about a possible filing of balance.
Recognizing that accounting claims somewhat flattered the accounts of the last quarter, the broker also stressed the very good performance at the level of cash flow underlying.
Considers also that the agreement announced on its patents could inflate the profit margins of the Group of 30-100 base term.
'We see no negative catalyst for the coming months and the title should continue its adjustment', concluded Bernstein.

Analysts have it easy. They downgrade it today and then 3 weeks later they can change it to an upgrade.... Never base your decisions on analyst consensus.

its just a trick they shorted and did not cover now they want to downgrade a stock who just made profit since 2006 what a bunch of crooked people there..
