    • Telecom Asia organizes the annual award event to recognize technology innovations and accomplishments of the top telecom vendors operating in the Asia Pacific region.

Nominations made in September were open to analysts, consultants and Telco executives and over 110 telecom insiders submitted more than 500 nominations. Telecom Asia’s editorial team narrowed down the list of nominations in each of the categories, before voting was open to Telecom Asia’s online subscriber base of service.

    • Summing it up, I see very few opportunities for Alcatel Lucent from the improving LTE infrastructure segment. However, this again is a tradeoff between margins and higher revenue. But one of the main concerns is its deteriorating liquidity position and its debt maturity. Also, macro weakness will further hamper its growth in future. Overall, I don’t find this stock compelling enough and would rate it as a sell.

    • Meredith, I added more to my shares today, so you are not credible in convincing others to sell ALU.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • To get that from Telecom Asia which covwers Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan and India where the modern-day leading-edge telecom systems are being developed and installed is quite a recognition!! The credit should go to Bell Lab's and not the French part of ALU!!!!!

      • ALU latest innovation in the VDSL2 Vectoring domain, called Zero Touch Vectoring, automatically ensures that VDSL2 modems already installed in customers’ homes can continue to run at full speed without undermining the service quality for customers subscribing to higher-speed VDSL2 Vectoring. This eliminates the need to update the firmware on all modems on the network, as was previously necessary. As such, Zero-Touch Vectoring really clears the path for the quick, cost-effective rollout of superfast broadband over existing copperlines.

    • ALU has been publicly honoured for its role in extending access to fast broadband services in Asia by being awarded the title 2012 Broadband Innovation of the Year title in Fifth Telecom Asia Reader’s Choice Awards in Kuala Lumpur. This annual industry event recognizes innovations and contributions to the industry by the top telecom vendors operating in the Asia-Pacific region.
In presenting the award, Telecom Asia praised ALU for the commercial introduction of its VDSL2 Vectoring technology. The official award citation read: “ALU was the first to announce a commercially-available VDSL2 Vectoring solution in September 2011, and has a track record of six commercial VDSL2 Vectoring contracts to date, and trials with more than 20 service providers around the world. ALU VDSL Vectoring technology builds on the company’s ISAM family of fixed access products, which has already been deployed by more than 250 service providers, and supports more than 90 VDSL2 projects.”
Government and service providers in over 90 nations have set aggressive national broadband targets and firm timelines to make affordable high-speed broadband and wireless services universally available, and ALU VDSL2 Vectoring technology is playing an important role in extending that accessibility. At present, Asia is home to 12 such national projects and governments and operators are investing heavily in critical infrastructure to connect people to the digital economy and make services like banking, healthcare, commerce and mLearning available.
“ALU is delighted to be recognized by Telecom Asia’s readers,” said Fazlin Mohd, President of ALU Malaysia, in accepting the prestigious award on the company’s behalf. The dynamic intensity and diversity in the Asia Pacific regions is driving innovation in telecommunications. The next five years will be even more exciting, and ALU innovative technologies will be at the heart of this change.”

    • another not credible web site!!!
Anyone can have website and put any information they want!

Also do not trust ALU's web, they must pump, they must sell you the idea that their stock is the best!

Trust quarterly filling, which tells you margins are falling sequentially and now are on 27%
Trust history, which tell you that ALU sold businesses in 2009 for 6billion and 2011 for 3 billion and is still in trouble!!!!

3 billion debt payment is coming soon! With no profit, ALU can not get help from any BANK! That would be suicide for the BANK! Like, giving mortgage to a person with credit score of 400!!!!

      So, what is left??? BANKRUPTCY!!!!

      Sentiment: Strong Sell
