Where the machine of European government really came from....

It was not German it was Dutch.

Frederick William was educated at the University of Leiden and the Stadtholder's court during the Dutch wars with Spain and was well versed in the use of government to control people when he arrived back in Berlin. One could not have had better teaches in cultural imperialism than his teacher of the time. What came after was just a systematic extension of the methods. There was not such thing as "German" at the time, except a vague commonality of language - German was created by government.

The Dutch instructed the English in the use of government too after 1688, and the Britons learned to be British, cultural imperialists...

You can thank the Dutch for what order remains in the USA.

      • That’s what Imperialism means.

It may interest you to know that the Prussian Imperial palaces are being rebuilt Germany. In Potsdam, the Potsdamer Stadtschloss is nearing completion. In Berlin, the Berliner Stadtschloss will be rebuilt in a few years. The Communist parliament building, built on the site of the old palace, has been totally cleared away to make room for it.

Germany’s schoolchildren will be able to look upon the edifices of their grandfathers just exactly as they once were. The Unter den Linden has been restored to its former self.

We take care to educate our children in Germany. 14:1 students for every teacher too, and what teachers!
